"Entrepreneurship represents the freedom to envision something innovative and to make it happen”

Sachin Pimenta, currently the director and co-founder at G4K Solutions Pvt. Ltd started his journey from a small village Vasai in Maharashtra (India). He has a strong sense of commitment and ability to multi-task, which drives and supports work excellence in self and teams. He is a qualified finance professional with a MBA degree from Pune University, Maharashtra (India).

After working for two decades in technology and information system industry with reputed names like CMS & SYSTIME computers in India & USA, his passion to drive, inspire and achieve new milestones has been remarkable. He was always exposed to various roles and responsibilities, which inculcated a strong sense of technology driven solutions for business forecasting and analytics.

In 2015, Sachin started his journey to be an entrepreneur! The initial thought was to develop and establish a chain of organised grocery stores across India. It was a well-researched and planned business model to compete in the market. After investing a good amount of time and resources, finally ‘Go4Kirana’ was the brand to be launched.

But he realised by launching ‘Go4Kirana’, it will be an addition of one more competitor in the market, which will fight against the existing players & also take away share of business from local retailers known as ‘kirana-walas’ in India. Due to the high influence of technology, multinational companies were investing in creating online grocery stores to capture the market via convenience at customers’ fingertip. Sachin revisited his thoughts and had in-depth discussions with his team and switched his approach, which was highly driven by challenges faced by the various kirana-walas & small-unorganised departmental stores in tier 2 cities and villages. His plan was to look at the same power of technology and create an innovative solution for these local retailers.

He wanted to develop a platform, which is robust to manage and operate with minimal interference, which was not an easy task at all. Although the penetration of smart phones and Internet was at high peak, the route to introduce a solution to empower these local retailers had many challenges to overcome. E-commerce had captured the mind of the customers with convenience and attractive deals alongwith huge investments by multi nationals in customer acquisitions.

Sachin took up the challenge and invested time in research, building technology infrastructure to derive a solution, which could overcome the competition. The most difficult hurdle was to educate and equip the retailers with technology and that’s how ‘SAHAYYAM’ was born.

‘SAHAYYAM’, an automation tool that empowered the local retailers by assisting them to breakthrough the limitations and go online without any initial investment, operated with minimal interference. It can be easily operated from mobile and web and at the same time helps to manage business 24x7. The vision behind Sahayyam was to leverage small local retailers and traders to expand their business and increase customer base for better growth.

"To me, entrepreneurship is to innovate, create, nurture and lead. The key to success is passion, knowledge and hard work” – Sachin Pimenta
